Also, erstmal muss ich mich dafür entschuldigen, das ich so lange nichts mehr geschrieben habe.
Hier in Portland war so viel los, allerdings fast nur in meinem Job...
Das Team war auf vielen Auswärtsspielen und ich war so gut wie nie mit Ruhe zu Hause.

Aber nun bin ich ja wieder da :-) 

Danke! Das muss ja auch mal geschrieben werden.
Danke an alle Fans auf der ganzen Welt, für die grossartige Unterstützung und das tolle Feedback auf allen Kanälen.

Danke an die Portland Thorns Fans, die in guten, wie in schlechten Zeiten hinter uns stehen.


So, first of all I have to apologize that I have not written anything for such a long time.
Here in Portland a lot has been going on and is has been crazy busy.
The team has been travelling a lot of away games and I didn't have much time to rest at home.

But now I'm back :-)

Thank you! That must also be written once.
Thank you to all the fans around the world for the great support and the great feedback on all channels.

Thanks to the Portland Thorns fans. You are behind the team, in good and in bad times.

Nach den ganzen Touren, dem Dreh, meiner Mutter (Mum es war toll mit Dir!!!)... war es an der Zeit ein bisschen Spass und Entspannung zu haben.

Wir haben diese Woche eine Tour durch die wunderschöne Weinlandschaft in Portland gemacht. 
Per Bus ging es nach Newberg zum Weingut Penner-Ash ( ja, die heißen wirklich so :-) ), wo uns eine super nette Familie, die Besitzer des Weingutes, mit grandiosen Weinen, tollem Essen und einem noch schöneren Ausblick empfangen haben.

After all the away trips with the team, the shoot, my mother (mum it was a great time with you!!!)..., it was time for a little fun and relaxation.

We did a wine tour this week trough the beautiful vineyards in the surrounding Portland area.
We went by bus, first to Newberg to the winery Penner-Ash, where we tasted terrific wines, ate great food, enjoyed wonderful views, and got to meet a super cute family that owns and runs the vineyard.

Anschließend ging es weiter zur Stoller Family Estate. Wieder bei tollem Wetter, leckerem Wein und einer großartigen Landschaft.

After it we went to Stoller Family Estate. And again great weather, delicious wine and a magnificent landscape.

Aber mal ganz ehrlich - Wieso testet man guten Wein um Ihn danach wieder auszuspucken?
Lieber testen und trinken... :-)
Mein absoluter Favorit war übrigens der A to Z Rosewein von dem Weingut Rex Hill. Unser dritter und letzter Stop auf unserer Tour.

But let's be honest - Why do I have to test such a good wine just to spit it out?

My absolute favourite rosewine, called A to Z, was from the Rex Hill winery, our third and final stop on our tour.


Nach einem tollem Wein Tag  ging es noch zum Abendessen ins eines meiner neuen Lieblings Restaurants - dem Prasad in Downtown Portland.
Seit Australien bin ich schon großer Raw Food Fan und zum Glück gibt es auch eine große Auswahl an tollen Restaurants hier in Portland.
Dieser Laden ist der Knaller.

After a great day of wine, we went to dinner at one of my new favourite restaurants - the Prasad in Downtown Portland.
Since being in Australia, I've become a big fan of Raw Food, an luckily there is a large selection of great restaurants here in Portland.
This shop is a big hit.

Nun heißt es Füße hochlegen und bis ganz bald :-)

The time is flying...

Die Zeit rennt - nun bin ich schon seit 3 Monaten in Portland und jeder Tag ist ein neuer spannender Tag...

Eigentlich wollte ich ja auch aus Vancouver berichten, aber ich habe es zeitlich einfach nicht geschafft und um ehrlich zu sein auch keine wirklich guten Fotos machen können. Außer dieses wunderbare Nebel Foto....

Time is going by quickly - I have already been here in Portland for three months and every day is a new and exciting day...

I really wanted to report from Vancouver, but I didn’t have enough time and to be honest, I also couldn’t take very good photos. Besides this wonderful mist picture ...

Aber hier könnt Ihr euch noch einmal ein paar schöne Fotos anschauen und wer es nicht mitbekommen hat - wir haben gegen Kanada 1:0 gewonnen, SORRY Sinc :-)

Nachdem ich wieder Portland Boden unter den Füßen hatte, habe ich auch schon meine Mum vom Flughafen abgeholt.

But here you can see some nice pictures, and for those didn't know already - we beat Canada  1:0. SORRY Sinc :-)

Once again, I have Portland ground under my feet, I've just picked up my mom from the airport. Plan: Mum + Strawanzen in Portland...

So viel kann ich sagen, meine Mum liebt Portland und fühlt sich super hier :-)
Dazu kam dann auch noch Ihr 29+ Geburtstag, der natürlich gebührend gefeiert worden ist...

I can already tell, my mum really loves Portland and feels great here :-) . Also we had her 29+ Birthday here, which had to be celebrated ...

Am Abend ging es dann in eines meiner Lieblings Restaurants, (wobei das mittlerweile sehr viele sind..) dem Bollywood Theater.
Meine gute Freundin und super Mitspielerin Vero war auch mit am Start.

In the evening we went to one of my favorite restaurants, (I am always finding new favorite restaurants...) the Bollywood Theater. My good friend and teammate Vero joined us.

Ein kleines Ständchen zum Geburtstag durfte nicht fehlen.. 
Und wo kann man besser, mitten auf der Wiese Klavier spielen? 
Richtig, im verrückten Portland :-)

A little birthday serenade must not be missed… And where else can you play the piano,in the middle of the meadow? Right here, in weird Portland :-)

Die WM 2014 wird überall auf der Welt zelebriert, natürlich auch in Portland. Super, das hier alle so Fußball verrückt sind.
Man beachte bitte nur einmal den Unterschied zu den Spielen.

The 2014 World Cup is being celebrated all over the world, and also here in Portland. It is perfect that everybody here is crazy about soccer. Please note the differences in the games.

USA...

Deutschland...
Germany...

Aber wie schön das ich für beide Nationen die Daumen drücken darf / durfte....

Und mein Thorns Team schaut auch immer fleißig alle anderen Spiele, gemeinsam mit mir.

But how nice is it, that I can keep my fingers crossed for both nations....My teammates and I are watching together diligently at all of the other games.

Bald heißt es übrigens wieder "Goodbye Deutschland - Hallo Portland".

Lasst euch überraschen :-)

Soon, it will be time again for "Goodbye Germany - Hello Portland". BTW it is a German TV documentary. Stay tuned for the big surprise :-)
